As of May 03, 2020, no decision has been made by the Federal Government as to whether or not we will be allowed to proceed with our summer camp program. We generally have our Camp Supervisor in place and start accepting applications for camp leader positions by now. Unfortunately, because the COVID 19 guidelines on group gatherings and social distancing have not yet been removed, we are not in a position to hold summer day camp at Morrell Nature Sanctuary this year so it has been cancelled.
The sticky, smelly and slimy wonders of the forest are waiting for you to discover them!
Maps, clues and scavenger hunts will help you to solve the mysteries of the forest.
Dip down and discover the creatures living in our beaver pond: tadpoles, mud-puppies and more!
How strong are your senses? We’ll test your nose, eyes and ears and see how they compare to amazing animals.
Creatures Among Us
Discover local living creatures in the Sanctuary and beyond - possibly in your own back yard!
With our magnifying glasses we’ll search for those busy bugs crawling along the forest floor.
Kid vs. Wild
Our survival techniques will prepare you for safer adventures in the forest—staying away from stinging nettle and unknown dung droppings.
Predict and wonder through a variety of exciting experiments. No lab coats required!
Join us for a mixture of our camp favourites – games, activities, crafts, and our popular end of camp celebration.
The Morrell Nature Sanctuary will issue a full credit or refund if the cancellation request is received by 3:30 pm the day before camp. Any cancellations after 3:30 pm or ‘no shows’ will be charged for one full day of camp.
Drop Off & Pick-Up
Please be prompt in dropping off and picking up your summer camper(s). Children may not arrive before the start of camp and must be picked up promptly. This allows leaders time to prepare for and clean up after each day of camp. Doors open at 9:00am and you are required to remain with your child(ren) until the leaders open the camp each day. Your child will not be released by anyone other than a parent/ guardian listed on the registration form unless you notify leaders ahead of time.
